Our Services

Tree Removal

Including dangerous trees

Are you concerned about a tree? Or maybe a tree’s got too big for its britches? Sometimes, removing a tree is the best thing to do. Depending on the site, we’ll adapt to make sure safe removal of any tree. Sometimes we can simply fall the tree into an open space, or if it’s over a fence, shed or greenhouse, we can set up a rig and lower branches one by one. After removing a tree, we always recommend replanting a more suitable tree to counter the environmental impact of removal. We’re happy to talk through your options.

Crown Thinning

Crown thinning involves the selective removal of inner branches evenly throughout a tree’s crown. This is an effective method of allowing light to travel through the crown and allows air to circulate more effectively throughout the canopy without altering the tree’s natural shape. At Shogun Warrior Tree Services we pride ourselves on ‘Climbing great height, and letting in the light’ and this is exactly how we do it. We remove any dangerous, dead or epicormic limbs to make the tree more aesthetically pleasing and structurally sound.

Crown Reduction

Crown reduction is one of the most common pruning techniques we use to control the size of the tree while maintaining the structure or shape of its crown. This is only possible if it is not with a foundation of epicormic growth. We focus on the limbs of the uppermost portion of the tree canopy, cutting them shorter to decrease the tree height.

Crown Lift

Tree crown lifting is the removal of lower branches to lift the height of the crown's base and something we do regularly around buildings and structures, especially in domestic gardens. It increases the clearance between the ground and the lower branches. Crown lifting also reduces weight from a tree and allow more light to pass through the branches, enhancing the beauty and safety of the tree and it’s setting.

Hedge Trim & Pruning

Not everyone likes an overgrown bush, especially when they can harm branches, neighbouring plants and people. By removing these branches, you allow the hedge's flowers or fruits to blossom. Unlike maintenance trimming, pruning isn't done to slow down the growth of the hedge, but to actually stimulate it.

Stump Grinding

Stump grinding allows you to use the area where the tree once stood for laying sod or planting a flower bed. The process produces mulch that has many uses around the yard to prevent the need to purchase stones or gravel. Removing stumps is a great way to maximise use of the land and waste produce.
